Kamine park (かみね公園)

It is about 1.5 hours high way drive to get there from Tsukuba.
This park is located on the hill, and it has amusement park, zoo, indoor and outdoor pool.

Kamine Zoo ( かみね動物園)
Open: 9am ~ 5pm
Fee: Adult 500 yen , Child aged 4 year's old and over 100 yen
There are hippo, rhino, giraffe, monkey, flamingo, elephant, zebra, etc..72 kinds animals.

Kamine Amusement Park (かみねゆうえんち)
Open: 9am ~ 5:15 pm
Entrance Fee : Free
I think it is for small children, before elementary school. If you want to ride something, you have to get tickets. There are merry-go-round, Ferris wheel, small locomotive, etc.. Each fee is 100~300 yen. The tickets are available at Leisure Land, too.

Kamine Leisure Land (かみねレジャーランド)
Open: 9am ~ 5pm
Entrance Fee: Adult 450 yen, Child aged 4 year's and over 200 yen
It might be for elementary school children and over. But some equipments are for small children.

To make good Purchase : 100 yen 30 tickets are 2500 yen
Leisure Land and Zoo set ticket is 800 yen for adult and 200 yen for child.

Kamine City Pool (かみね市民プール)
Open: 9am ~ 7:15pm
Entrance Fee: Adult 420 yen, child in elementary school 110 yen
It has indoor pool that you can swim through a whole year. Children can enjoy get down the slide.
The outdoor pool is opened from July 1st to September 10th. You have to wear swimming cap to swim.

It is about 20 minutes to get nearest coast. My son enjoyed finding fish and shell, and making mountain with sand. You can also enjoy fresh fish food around there. We went to the wafu restaurant Gyoen (和風レストラン魚苑 Map). Everything was so nice. We stayed one night at a bussiness hotel (ビジネスH吾妻館　Map), it is near the Hitachi station. It was very useful place, and reasonable price. Adult 5500 yen /night with breakfast.
