Two regular flights Ibaraki-Nagoya, Ibaraki-Sapporo went into service newly since this February. Why don't you think about the travel from the Ibaraki airport?

Asiana desided the service of the airline between Ibaraki-Seoul will be canceled until October because of the nuclear plant.
5. Ibaraki-Shanghai (Pudong), round trip---about 44000 yen
Go 春秋空港 website, and make a reservation.

The fee changes depending on the day, and time. If you make a reservation earlier, you might get a discount.

Shuttle Bus to Ibaraki Airport

1.Ibaraki Airport-Tsukuba station (TX station)

I used the Ibaraki airport last week and it was very nice. The bus from the airport to Tsukuba center actually took about an hour and a half. The traffic wasn't bad at all, so I think the bus company might have underestimated their time table.

I picked the time from the bus website,but please think it takes more time between Tsukuba, Mito, Tokyo station <--> Ibaraki Airport.

You can also go to the airport by car.There is a free parking for 1300 cars near the terminal.
