The Asahi news said COSTCO purchased the land near iias Tsukuba for about 3.4 billion yen. And it will open on August next year.
I heard IKEA might open near iias also. That is just a rumor now, but I hope it will be true.

I have heard this too from a friend in Ushiku. I really hope so, not only for shopping but it would also open up spots for employment.

I am thrilled upon hearing that news last year. Finally Costco in Ibaraki!! No more Chiba or Saitama for me to go.
