Public Library

My favorite place is library. Every other week, we go to a library, and we borrow some picture books, magazines, and novels. There are some picture books in English,Chinese, Korean, French, German, Russian,and some other languages and magazines in English in Central Library. The Central Library has some CDs, Videos, DVDs.

How to use the service of library: First of all, you would make a user card. Take driver's licence, or health insurance card, and alien registration card to any library in Tsukuba to make your library card. If you make a registration of your PIN number, you can use the inter net book search service (in Japanese). Once you make your library card, you can use the card in 5 libraries in Tsukuba for 3 years.

You can borrow 10 books for 2 weeks. If you want to borrow a magazine, you can borrow not newest, but back number. If you borrow some books in a library, you can return them to any other libraries.
You can borrow 3 of CDs and Videos and DVDs for 1 week. You have to return them to the counter where you borrow.

If you park your car at North 2(北２), or South 2(南２), and show the parking ticket to the librarian, you can get 1 hour free parking. But only 1 hour, and the parking lot is a little far!
