Temporary Day Care (一時保育ichiji-hoiku)

If mother has part time job, or parents are suffered from disease, or mother wants to have refresh time, temporary Day Care (保育所 hoikusho or 保育園 hoikuen) is available. It is for children aged 0~5.

There are permitted Day Care which the city gives the money help, so the cost is little cheaper than private ones.Check the place of Day Care, and if you are interested, you can call the phone number and make an appointment to look around. If you decide one, go to the Day Care with your children in advance and fill out an application form that the Day Care has. If you take mother-children note (母子手帳 bositechou ), health insurance card, and signet (印鑑 inkan ), alien registration card, the procedure will be smooth. Make sure that each Day Care has each capacity. If you decide to use it, it is better to apply 2 or 3 weeks ahead. But if you have a cold and it is not possible to take care of your child, just call the Day Care on that day. The Day Care would help you if it has capacity. One time I caught a cold, and used Katsuragi Day Care like that. It was great help.

Flower Child(ﾌﾗﾜｰﾁｬｲﾙﾄﾞ)保育所:029-864-6464,Mon~Sat [8:30~16:30], 300 yen/hour (400 yen/hour on Saturday, registration fee 2000 yen at first, lunch & snack 450 yen) The web site has application form. Children is 1 year's old and over.

Sakura-Gakuen(さくら学園)保育園:029-863-0053, Mon~Fri [8:30~16:30], 1400 yen/half day (no lunch), 2800 yen/day (with lunch & snack ) It has another the day care for sick children who can't go to regular day care because of infection. Children is 0 year's old and over.

Caress (ケアーズ)保育園:029-864-8800,Mon~Fri [8:30~16:30], 300 yen/hour (lunch & snack 400 yen) Capacity: two children. It would be full sometimes.Children is 0 year's old and over.

Kaname(かなめ)保育園:029-877-7710,Mon~Fri [9:00~16:00], 350 yen/ hour, or 2450 yen/day (with lunch & snack ), Children is 6 month's old and over. You need certification of your child's health from a doctor.

Higashi-Hiratsuka(東平塚)保育園:029-851-2766,Mon~Fri [8:30~17:30], 2400 yen/day (with lunch & snack ) Children is 0 year's old and over. It is O.K. to apply 2~3 days in advance.

Himawari(ひまわり)保育園:029-838-0432,Mon~Fri [8:30~16:30], 2400 yen/day or 300 yen/hour (lunch & snack 400 yen) Children is 0 year's old and over.Children is 6 month's old and over. It is O.K. to apply 2~3 days in advance.

Yoshinuma(吉沼)保育園:029-865-0050,Mon~Fri [9:00~16:00], 2800 yen/day (with lunch & snack ) Children is 0 year's old and over. But if your baby drinks breast milk, 3hours are maximum. It is O.K. to apply 2~3 days in advance.

Tanaka(田中)保育園:029-867-0433,Mon~Fri [8:30~16:30], 300 yen/hour (lunch & snack 200 yen) Children is 1 year's old and over. It is O.K. to apply 1~2 weeks in advance.You need certification of your child's health from a docter.

If you have part time job, you can use Temporary Day Care 3 times a week as maximum. If you work more, you can use regular day care which I already wrote about on December 1st " Day Care (保育所)"
If you have disease, or accident, you can use 12 days / one time as maximum.
If you want to have refresh time, you can use 2 times a week as maximum.
